PEEP WATCH 2008 DAY SEVENTY-ELEVENTH

Cause I have really forgotten how many days I have drug this out already ~grins~

And for those of you with so LITTLE FAITH...no I have not eaten the peeps.

#18. Tweek the peeps nose. It should break of very easily. Now he has nothing to keep his glasses from sliding off. Of course...his earlessness was already a problem so this peep so he is a devoted contact wearer.

#19. You should be able to bend the peeps tail and it will not move back into place. The sugar should be nice and crumbly.

#20. Take a bite. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM peep heaven!! Do you remember when you were little and could buy individual bubble gum for a penny? I think it must cost 50 cents or something now but I digress. Remember its texture? Its wonderful chewiness?? That is EXACTLY how your peep should feel in your mouth! Now you know you have arrived at PEEP PERFECTION!

21. Always remember. Peeps have their own built in safety device much like the bank bags that the tellers will give to robbers. They leave their mark.

In compiling this riveting piece of journalism, I told Rach that I have gotten peep sugar on the floor of my office. Every time my chair would run across the sugar it would make a crunchy sound. Rach said it was like running over little peep bones. ~snickers~

And I am sorry about not getting the video up on the microwave experiment. My technical assistance got a better deal on vacation sites other than my home for spring vacation and he dumped me. I hope he does not get in a video entitled *Learners Permits Gone WILD*.

I AM DOING A SUPER DUPER MYSTERY GIVEAWAY!!! ALL COMMENT ON THIS POST WILL BE ENTERED! YOU MAY ENTER UNTIL TOMORROW.LEAVE A COMMENT CAUSE YA'LL KNOW I LOVE ME SOME COMMENTS! THIS IS OPEN TO REGULARS,NEWCOMERS AND LURKERS. YOU CANNOT WIN IF YOU DO NOT ENTER!!!

  8. Man, I have missed this whole Peepin' series. Where I been!?

I have never never bought or eaten any Peeps. Don't know why. Just ... scared of things those colors? But I had a friend in grad school (she was Jewish FWIW) who had a long standing tradition of buying up the leftover Easter peeps and leaving them out like you do.

Ah, you make me miss her. Glad I know you and your Peep bones now!

  9. You gotta show us Nukin-Peeps.

  10. Peep bones? That is peepy creepy!

And I confess I was one of those who thought the peeps had gone to a better place... that they had disapperated... that someone had taken his learner's permit in hand and, as your co-peepetrator, made them go far, far away.

I hang my head. I comment with guilt. Or is that gilt?

But first, I must tell you. The Reedy Girl, The Harpist and I are doing our own Peep-periment. The packages are poked... we are waiting... waiting... waiting...

    I love it, love it!!!!!!
Thanks for your inspiring messages and advice on Peeps.
We ahve come a long way since I was a kid some uh....(clearing throat) 30-somehting years ago!
Used to just be yellow chicks, now all colors, variety of animals and other things and they spill over into all seasons ( I had Peep reindeer with bits of Pepermint at Christmas). I held off a while a tried to be a tradtionalist, but the curislty go the best of me and I broke down and bought "out of season" Peeps!
    I'm so ashamed!!!!!!!!

Has Rach been cemetary blogging on the peep bones in the office? maybe a sweeping up is in order for a commital of the "ashes" - maybe in a tiny little urn...

  15. I was going to leave a comment anyway...

  16. So would you say your tongue is now a blue tint or shade? And did you notice, your is very short and round? Wacky.

  18. I love the peep posts... My daughter (12) hasn't gotten the idea that peeps are better when they have had time to mature. I have a peep from 2005 (still in it's little egg). I think it matured a little too much and is now mummified and has become a science experiment which I am not sure what to call... ideas would be appreciated. I will have to take a picture on Easter (since that is the day this whole experiment started) and let everyone know how it looks.

  20. Oh, and Sugar Free Peeps?? I would make a comment about how wrong this sounds, but one of my son's friends was just diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and those would be nice for him.

  21. I will remember your Peeps investigation and QG's peep pole dancing as the antidote to a very full Lent 2008.

    Eating "stale" peeps is MindyGoneWild!

Enter me in the contest. I want to win!

  22. I don't know, Rach, the blue tongue would probably stop me.

  23. I saw some of the before-mentioned red peeps at the store -- they creeped me out! Where do peeps get their contact lenses anyway? I would think finding them that small would be a hard thing to do...

shamelessly commenting in hopes of winning.... (and if this comment shows up 74 times, blogger is being stupid and making me put in the secret code over and over and over again. Maybe if they would use a font I could read...)

  29. Mindy - the mummified peep is posted on my blog... I think I should win since my peep is probably the oldest peep around :)

  30. Peeps are just gross. They deserve to have their little bones crushed before they proliferate and take over the world.

And some people would do anything to get themselves a ton of comments, huh?
