**I am MORE than pleased with how the bartering turned out. I have now set free the body wash AND a laptop lunch set! In exchange, I am getting a trade for bling from Mrs. Swizzle. OMG, you have GOT to check out her etsy store!! I am also getting a retro fondue pot actually touched owned and used by Sue!! I am thrilled!!!

**I am thinking maybe do the barter post one day a month? Or maybe two? What do you think?

**I am also thinking that, if I have enough that want to, on that day we can all post to our own blogs what we might have to offer to barter and set up a Mr. Linky?

**A reminder that I have Valentine swaps set to be mailed on February 1st. *smacks side of head* Since that is a may mail out on Monday.

**Remember that, if you cannot send off in time, please contact me or your swap partner and just let us know.

**I am getting ready for the Super Bowl party that Bebo and I do every year. He is 16. I am thinking that he will not wanna be doing that with me much longer. I love that tradition and I am really going to miss it.

**Just wait until you see what I plan to cook!!

**Is there anything better in the world than Mary Jane shoes??

**Watch for the Pantipalooza post coming up tomorrow. I would happy beg someone to teach me how to make a button or make one for me!

**I think site meter rocks. *grins* I love being able to see where everyone comes from to get to my blog. Makes me feel very loved.

**I am also playing around with that little *follows me* thingy. If yours is not turned on, please do so. That way I can follow you around too. ~laffin~ cause everyone needs a little stalking now and then.

**Brought the beanbaby back to work with me for the two hours I will be there. Think I will get much done? I am thinking that most of that time will be spent using the rolly sticky thing over my pants legs trying to keep the corgi hair at bay.

**I am swapping with 4 people for Valentines! Two on my blog and 2 on other blogs. I am so working on stuff this weekend!

**So what are your weekend plans? Wanna come on over to my house and watch the Super Bowl? thinking maybe something homemade for the next barter....hhhmmmmmmmm

Edited on 1/30/09 to add:

I am a Bath and Body Works fiend!! I love that store. I am addicted to the CO Bigelow Menta Body Wash. It is infused with peppermint and leaves your body all tingly. Last Christmas, they had a limited edition of the body wash called Ginger Mentha Warming Mint Body Wash. The only thing better than tingly would be warm and tingly right?!?!? So I bought the 8 ounce size of the body wash. I have tried it two times and it is just not the same as the Menta Body Wash. So here I am with a (at LEAST) 95% full container of the stuff.

That got me to thinking. I am really trying to reuse, thrift and re-purpose so why not add barter to the list. I have something that YOU might like and you just might have something that I might like. I have decided to launch a little experiment and we shall call it

Mindyslist *grins*

The premise would be that, maybe once or twice a month, I would put something up here on the blog and will barter it for something that you might have. If the experiment does not work, we will just give it up. No harm no foul.

Now before you stop reading because you think you do not have a thing that I want I would ask you to please keep reading. I am very interested in bartering for: paper supplies, ephemera, glass beads, glitter or anything that is sparkly, crafts, old aluminum measuring cups and spoons, glass juicers, containers, your art, a fondue pot (I would rather this be a retro one and not a new one), coupons or anything else that you can think of. I will add to the list.

ALSO, I want to barter for things like Etsy store credit, a professional looking header for the blog, someone to move the mail part of the right part of my blog over just a tad to the left, something put behind my words so that I can change the background to anything and people can still see the blog and buttons. I would love to have some for pantipalooza and swaps that I host.

If this really works, I will keep a list of things that I am willing to barter for on my side bar along with this that I already have that I will offer. I will be responsible for the postage to mail my item to you and you would be responsible for the postage to mail your stuff to me.

So up for barter today is the Ginger Menta Warming Mint Body Wash. Original value was $12.00 and I have used less than 5% of it. The description of the side reads: Ginger Extract 1%, Peppermint Oil and Extract 1%. Our luxurious lathering formula spiked with warming crystals surrounds the body with the radiant glow of comforting Ginger and a twist of refreshing Peppermint for a rejuvenating shower experience.

So what do you say? Wanna play?? If you have something that is not on my list feel FREE to throw it out there. You may have something that I do not know I want/need yet!

And even if you do not want to barter, please leave me a comment telling me if you think that this is a good or bad idea? How would you do it? What would you tweek?

..wants to past the REJUVENATING experience on to you!

It really is! I am not whining...I have seen some of the winter weather that some of you are having and we are NOT having that at all! It is just cold here....18 degrees right now with a wind chill of 6....but we are supposed to be in the 50's tomorrow!! Right now there is a little sleet and snow on the ground. I remember just last week when we were in the upper 70's. My first real clue to how cold it was when I found Molly amongst the towels. The dryer is right below that shelf and I had clothes drying. She is probably in the toastiest place in the house.
I usually go home at lunch time to let Gingerbean out. Bebo's school did not start until 10 so I decided I would pack my lunch and stay in to eat with the girls. The girls I work with not to be confused with *the girls*.
This is one of my sweet little Bento Boxes. I love Bento. I wish that I really was patient to really pack them how they are supposed to be packed. Heck, I am just a container could I NOT love Bento? Isn't that the cutest little lion pick??
This is a Bento Addendum Container. There was not enough room in the Bento Box to pack my fritos so I had to use the Addendum Container. They come in all sizes. ~grins~

Now doesn't that look like a happy little lunch?!?!? All orangy and chipper on a cold snowy day??

These are the Bento Pics that I bought. They are all fun little animals. Why you ask am I showing you the picks??

Cause this is what is on the back:

On my honor Oh Bento I swear not to give to an infant no matter what. I will also not give into error drinking dangers once I figure out what they are.
I leave you with Corgi wearing Coat pictures. This is how she is most mornings when we go out. She is not tangled up. She is holding the leash in her mouth with her teeth. She is trying to wrestle the leash away from me so that SHE can walk ME and not the other way around.
And I knew you had to see her in her Little Red Riding Hood coat(minus the hood cause her ears are TOO BIG). You really should have seen her slide Bambi fashion across the drive way!!

...who is nice and warm working on her paper crafts during lunch.

PG ,dog and god and MaryBeth all both surprised me last week!! I think that is was so sweet that they all gave me this honor. I am glad to be their friend. I am also glad to be your friend.

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

I chose to spread the friend love to:

1) It's a Wonderful OMG OMG OMG! This girl and I were separated at birth! We are eerily alike in so many ways!! Down to both of ours son's nick-makes being Bebo!

2) Swandive beautiful wonderful swandive. You cannot read her blog and not think . I love love love this girl.

3) Dijea A Texas girl that makes me laugh. Some day I am going to meet her just like Rach got to!

4) Babygator I have actually met her...nice girl but a little blunt *snorts* My beautiful babygator who takes so much flack for being my daughter AND my friend. I can hear her now *Why am I #4? Sheeze...I am your DAUGHTER and I am #4!! ~lots of eye rolling here*

5) Sewing Southpaw I let this talented woman move out of Texas without getting to meet her. DAMMIT!

6) Zorra One of these days I am going to meet her. I am just going to listen to her talk and I am going to learn. I have always felt that she has so much to teach me. *Stop that! I hear what you are thinking...Mindy Listen and not talk??? HA*

Rach and I had a discussion just the other day about how we have branched out in the blogs. I started out with reading Crafty Chica and Mimi Smarty Pants. Somehow eventually feel in with the Rev Gals and, due to them, developed a little following. Since then, I have gravated towards several craft blogs and just every day women blogs.

And the ride has been amazing. For Reals.

Go look at these amazing blogs and make some new friends.

I have mailed out all of the swap emails. If you did not get one then you need to email me asap!!! I never got a hold of one girl so I am swapping with Elastigirl and Sarita. I am excited to be able to swap with both!!!

I went home from work last Friday night and did not leave my house until I went to work on Monday morning. I had such a good weekend. I did laundry, some cleaning, some movie watching and some creating. I am enjoying my craft room ssssoooo much. I was not using it until Babygator came and painted it. Now I cannot stay out. So now lets play show and tell! *grins*

I am changing up my office some. I have taken down my Mindy Cow Memorial Pictures and am replacing them with M's. All sorts of M's.

I took a frame I found at a thrift store for $.50
frame first

Cleaned it up and printed an M on some paper and TA DA!

I made a pillow for Gingerbean to lay on while she is in the craft room with me. She will only stay in there if I am NOT sewing. She thinks that the sewing machine is going to eat me.

I wanted a new clock in my craft room so I altered an old one that I had. This is totally easy to do and really cheap if you ever want to do it.

And finally purses! These are bigger than my wristlet but smaller than an actual purse. This one is mine. This is where you can find the tutorial that I used. It is REALLY well written and totally easy to follow!

A close up:
mypurse =]close

And one for Rachel's birthday!

skull purse

Now tell me...doesn't this fabric just SCREAM Rach?

Sign-ups are still open for the Valentine Swap! Just tell me you want in and I will put you on the list!

........wishes she knew who her swap partner would be so she could start making something!!

Just finished book #2 in the Stephenie Meyer series. I watched the movie but never read book #1. Gotta do that! And I have to find book #3. This was a REALLY good book. Not really deep or anything but I found it hard to put down.

And you can have my copy. It is brand new and in great shape. I am the only one that has read it.

So....if you want my copy, just leave me a comment. Postage is on me. All I ask is that you release it back into the wild once you have read it so that someone else might enjoy it.

....who is pale enough to be a Vampire...and I like glitter!!
