A ROYAL PROCLAMATION

As per Mary Beth's suggestion and because I am so full of myself *grins*:

Comments

  1. I drove my kid's soccer cleats to school when she forgot them. Nothing random about that act of kindness, but still...an act nonetheless.

    ReplyDelete
  2. that is a wonderful act YT! ~applaudes~

Any kind of kindness is welcomed!

    ReplyDelete
  3. I picked up my co-worker from the garage, where she left her car to have a tire replaced.....yes it was hot out there!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Anonymous12:46 PM

I didn't flip anyone off on my drive into work this morning!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. *snickers* that must have been difficult for you Bunny! Good job!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I haven't killed anyone in the waiting room.

    Yet.

    ReplyDelete
  7. wwwhooo hooo Rachel!! Nurses aide deluxe!! Just imagine them all naked.

    ReplyDelete
  8. YEA! I'm so excited that you took my suggestion!

I printed out the proclamation and put it on my file cabinet using my magnetic Princess Mindy magic wand! Did you know that the name of the file is "earrings"? :)

On to business...Jeepers. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary yet! I HAVE seen 6 students for advising appointments, had a staff meeting, went home at lunch to put dinner in the crock pot...and have 2 after work appointments.

It will be a challenge to me to find an act of kindness before the clock strikes midnight and I turn into a butternut squash!

Happy Princess Mindy the Wonderful Day! Just think what a celebration we can have NEXT YEAR with advance warning!

    ReplyDelete
  9. *grins at Mary Beth* See! I DP listen!!

And I am glad you still have your wand! I have a few more if anyone wants one.

And you work with students! You have done your good deed!

  10. hmmm.. I have to think about this one. How about... husband is still alive in spite of saying something that was BLATANTLY MEAN to mean. The Dog3 is still alive even though he pulled newspaper out of the recycle bin and shredded it all over the house. And my kids are still alive in spite of the fact that they have been at each others throats since Mermaid got home from school. And I didn't kill the seafood guy after stopping at the store on the way home from orthodontist for something I forgot and finding CHICKEN IN THE CHICKEN CASE that was NOT THERE THIS MORNING. (I blogged it. It makes more sense if you have the whole story, lol) And I even did the self checkout and did NOT bitch to the clerk, when she pointed out the open self check register "Am *I* on your payroll???"

    ReplyDelete
  11. I will have to let you in with that flutter. Simply because I also let Rach in with not killing anyone.

I tend to think that IS an act of kindness if you are really intent on shedding someones blood.

*snickers* glad to see ya'll have not gone all Chicken Soup For The Soul on me.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Wonderful idea!

I'll report in after I actually act on it.

    *puts on thinking cap*

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hmm. I just saw this, and here I am already home and the day is nearly over. Let's see. I didn't yell at the dog when she ate something gross (but I did brush her teeth, which she does not think is very kind). I didn't yell at anyone at work today (not that I usually do). I'll have to be extra nice to the Scientist tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  14. You will think of something wonderful QG! You always do!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Zorra...you tell him that he OWES me!! *snickers*

    ReplyDelete
  16. How about... I bought muffins for breakfast?
and... made coffee for the office

    ReplyDelete
  17. I gave up my afternoon to shop for my mom's kitchen. Got her some great stuff at the Container Store where a sale on the desired items is in full swing!!

AND, at the first day of school, (in the spirit of Rachel and Flutterby) I did NOT steamroll the ***hat parents who have needlessly made my live a living hell in the past with their venal, immature pettiness (AND yes, they tried again today.....MOST parents in my neck of the woods are still adolescent ***hats)

(Word verification: obypombl "Oboy, pommeling for blood!!")

    ReplyDelete
  18. But Zora, even though the dog did not like you brushing its' teeth, that WAS an EXTREMLY good thing to do! People do not usually realize that when a dogs' teeth get bad, it can bring on all kinds of illnesses for the poor things, so you are keeping your doggy healthy by brushing its' teeth! That is a VERY kind thing to do in my book. But then I am the nut case with a whole zoo in her house so...

    ReplyDelete
  19. I am so glad to know that the proclamation saved peoples lives today!

PG, you are doing so great with your mom! ~applaudes~

    ReplyDelete
  20. *giggles at the thought of doggy toothbrushes*

    ReplyDelete
  21. I gave a private tour of our beautiful church to a couple who randomly showed up at my door today. You can read about it at my place.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I visited an elderly woman when I would have preferred to drive home and skip it. She really appreciated the company and she made me smile - so maybe she's the one who did the act of kindness. She is a sweetie for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Mindy they make doggy toothbrushes. And doggy toothpaste. It is meat flavored. *ick ewwww gag choke*

    ReplyDelete
  24. I did read about it cheese and I know you made them so happy. You did good girl!

    I want that tour too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh Sue, I am so glad she made you smile. You have been in so much pain and I know that it was an actual choice that you made to drive her. Thank you!

Cash is not the only form of currency is it?

    ReplyDelete
  26. LOL..Oh I know that flutter....it just cracks me up!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I did not read this until just now...and there is no one around to do a random act of kindness on...so I will do that first thing in the morning. I love you!

happening one day late in Finland (time zones you know)
check out my place :) - decorated in YOUR honour Your royal Highness

    that was the first act
the second was polishing your halo :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. I've only just discovered this too...so you are getting 2 day's worth, oh Princess Mindy..but my question is, can it be a random act of kindness if we#re planning on doing it in obedience to your command?
Seems like there's potential for Catch22 there.
But I let Hattie Gandhi borrow my car to drive to work today so she can transport one extra person to wherever it is her team are waitressing...which means I have to take sweet but 21 year old rust heap to rather scary meeting with high up church man. Would that count, since I did it before I knew today was A Day??

    ReplyDelete
  31. Looking forward to hearing what you did baby gator!

    ReplyDelete
  32. OH Lorna I did not think of that! 2 Days!!

And my halo is looking spiffy! I am running off now to see your blog!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Kathryn, I do believe that is a GREAT act of kindness AND bravery on your part!

*waves her wand around* YEP it counts!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I threw away my husband's toothbrush when I found the cat had been chewing on it... I found her doing that when I walked in the bathroom. Who knew cats like Crest over Colgate?? (If I had known she needed it, I would have sent it to Zorra for her doggie...)

And I didn't him why he had a new one. Some things you don't want to know... :)

And I'm a day late for Princess Mindy day, but hopefully this still qualifies...

    Deb
who still wants to see MORE COWS

    ReplyDelete
  35. *laffin until I cry* Oh Deb...that was such a kind act on your part.

    Totally qualifies!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I was the recipient of much kindness yesterday (and today) from my blogging friends, and I thank you and all of them. My acts of kindness were directed at real life folks: my son, some parishioners back home who called about a death, and making conversation with a grandmother bringing her beloved granddaughter to boarding school.
Thank you for this lovely thought, Mindy!

    ReplyDelete
  37. You deserved much kindness Songbird. I am glad that there was some directed at you. And yet, still you were kind to others! You are the bestest songbird of them all!

    ReplyDelete
  38. i just read this, but i did several acts of kindness yesterday. while shopping at walmart and at united, i let two people go ahead of me in line. then at dinner last night we let a lady with two kids go ahead of us to get their food. hope those count. oh and i returned baby gator's book to her w/o being asked to.

    ReplyDelete
  39. They all count! Job well done Miss Martha!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Only 364 days till the next one!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Deb's act of kindness is cracking me up. And making me think about how many times the cats have been up on the sink....

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yeah, I'm with Diesel. Only 364 more days till we have to be nice again.

    *grins*

    ReplyDelete
  43. Well, let's see, since Mindy apparently won't come to Gallimaufry, I will come to BOPMK. Here are your requested interview questions:
    # Why has pantie-palooza become so important to you?

    # Sometimes a sensory perception will set off a nostalgic moment. When is the last time that happened to you?

    # You have many blog buddies. If you had a party where you could meet them all face-to-face, where would it be held?

    # In your experience, where has the church most succeeded?

    # Did you do arts and crafts as a little girl or did you start that later?

    ReplyDelete
  44. OK!!! Enough about doggie teeth and doggie toothpaste. Mindy, here are your questions:

1.What's your earliest memory of creating something--some sort of craft or artistic endeavor--that you enjoyed?

    2. What destination in the United States (that you haven't seen yet) would you most like to visit, and what would a perfect day there look like?

    3. Remember what type of mother you thought you would be, before you had children? Do any of your ideas from that time bear any resemblance to the reality of parenting?

    4. Is there a craft or art form that you haven't tried yet but would really like to try?

    5. When you were a child or teenager, who(outside of your family) taught you the most about treating people with kindness and respect?

Let me know when you play! :)

    Hi

in Hki yesterday I gave up my seat in the metro (twice) AND on the train there when the man sitting next to me asked if he could swap seats with me I did so :)

and as I did all this I thought of you and your halo Princess

It's great to be your minion ....

  46. ~shakes me head at diesel and Rach~

    Thank you Zorra!

I swear I am already working on them david!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh Lorna....your acts are wonderful!

    Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  48. To each and everyone of you:

Your acts of kinds and your reporting them have helped me and my funk. This has been fun and has made me laugh...sometimes right out loud. Thank you all so very very much.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I e-mailed questions to you, girl!! And now you have questions from David and Zorra!

This is gonna be so much fun to read. I can't wait.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Mindy!!!! You'll love this!
Go to Dogblogger's place RIGHT NOW!!!!!

  51. I picked stuff up (pencils, papers, books) for my 2nd graders, when I was standing nearby. Instead of saying, "Get it your own dang self!"

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oooooo, I was goooood, I was reeeeaaaallll gooooood.

While my neighbor and I were on our walk this morning, a dog got loose from her elderly owner. I was able to catch it and return it to her.

    Do I get a prize?
