BUMMER
I guess all dogs DON'T go to Heaven!
Sign at the cemetery in hometown were my mom and dad live.
Girls in the South have a thing about trucks. *grins*
Sign at the cemetery in hometown were my mom and dad live.
Not sure why they felt the need to put the sign up. The cemetery is outside of town! It is not like people are wandering off to the cemetery and using it like a dog park. My thoughts are that they found poo out there and thought *dog* when it was more likely *wild coyote*. (The sign reminds me of the old Charlie Brown cartoon. Now, go back and read the sign again and you read it just like the man in the cartoon sang it! no dogs alllloooowwweeedddd.....)
When I first saw the sign, I thought that blogging about it would be fun. We thought that we would take the dog out there and show what a rebel she was. We loaded up Dixie Dog (also known as Do) and took her out to pose her with it. Well, that was easier said than done! She took one look at the sign and RAN back from it. She would only sit and look at the sign if my Dad held her.
It was a really nice weekend. Hope yours was the same!
hugs xx
ReplyDeleteyou make me smile and fill me with joy :)
It was a wonderfully fun weekend. Do and I had a great time with the family.
ReplyDeleteI DO NOT like that sign any more than Dixie did!
ReplyDeleteShe's getting so big!!
Mindy, you're such a wild woman! Dixie knew you were setting her up and that she was not supposed to be there. That's why she ran from the sign--she's a smart dog!
ReplyDeleteThat is one cute dog!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if cats and cows are allowed?
ReplyDeletePoor dogs!c
ReplyDeleteDixie Dog is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteIf dogs aren't allowed, I am not going!
ReplyDeleteWow, your dog can read? I'm impressed. Cool truck.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing someone freaked out when a visiting canine lifted his leg over Aunt Gertie's final resting place.
ReplyDeleteA girl and her truck.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful thing!
I'm with Dixie.
ReplyDeleteWhat IS it with humans?
WOOF!
I'm sure ALL dogs go to heaven. Besides that a really stupid sign to put up, how many dogs do they actually think can read it? DUH!!!!
ReplyDeleteCoyote poo looks nothing like regular dog poo... so there was most likely jerkybutt people walking their dogs out there letting them do their *business* and not cleaning up after them. I have been known to stop my car in the neighborhood and hand morons a plastic bag when I see them letting their dogs poo and walk off; I sit there with my phone in hand until they clean it up. It's a city ordinance here. Ya gotta clean up after your dogs no matter where they do out in public. I am sure one of these days I am going to wake up to a dump truck sized pile of dog poo in my front yard if all those people find out where I live. Or, like hub always says, "One of these days someone is just going to shoot you."
ReplyDeleteFlutterby, you are an urban legend I am sure...
ReplyDeleteMindy, you drive a red pick up ? That is sooooo cool.
Dixie: You are wise to avoid this place. Any place that does not allow dogs is also not fit for PLU (people like us).
I SO heard that song in my head when I saw the sign. :) Go Dixie!
ReplyDeleteThose are some awesome pictures. How did you teach the pooch to read?
ReplyDeleteOK. So a cat would look at the sign and say, "GOOD!" and walk on in...
ReplyDelete:)
