Well, Hello There!

Welcome to my blog!

I have taken on a challenge!  I will be blogging every day for the entire month of October.  You can see the details HERE.   I intend to drag you along with me.  ~grins~

Most of you reading already know me.  For the others, let me fill you in a bit.

I am a 51 (52 this month!) year old divorced (21 years yeah baby!) mom/daughter/niece/friend/aunt.  I have 2 kids (all grown up!), one son in law, one almost daughter in law 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters that I adore with all of my heart! There are also 2 corgis and 2 black cats.  You can check all of them out on my peeps page.

I live in Texas.  I do not wear a cowboy hat. No,  I do not own a cow or a horse.  I do have a Honda Fit and a pink scooter named Norma Jean.

I married the same man 2 times.  Well...got that out of the way early didn't I?!?!?!  After the second divorce, I went to college at the age of 30.  You are NEVER too old to get your education!  I have a  Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.

I have been an adult probation officer for the State of Texas for 18 years already.  Some days it seems like yesterday....other days it feels life times.

I also teach motivational interviewing and other classes for my department.  If the stars had aligned differently, I would have been a speech and drama teacher.

That really would not have worked out.

I love all kinds of crafts.  I have taught myself to sew.  I do paper crafts but I am NOT a scrapbooker.  I also make jewelry.

I have a tail.

I am a Christian but I am getting really disillusioned with religion.  I think that we Christians are our own worse enemies.

I host some really fun swaps.  I also love snail mail!

I believe that the world is a wonderful place.  Your family does not have to be blood.  Women should help women.  Love is love.  All people should have equal rights.  Well, except people that do not put up their buggies in parking lots.  Those people are going to hell.  I think that is in the book of Leviticus.

I actively work on my bucketlist.  I'll be updating it.  You can find it under the top tabs!

I loath clowns and raisins. ~shudders~  I love pinks and greens.  I also hate to spell check and proofread.

You can find me on facebook under Mindy Morris Choate.  I will be happy to add you. (unless you are one of the few trolls in my life.)

The details of this 31 day challenge is to pick a category and to blog on it for the month.  Try as I might, I cannot narrow anything down so.....I am going to do what I do best.

Randomness.

Look at me, already breaking the rules.

So, if you hang with me for this journey, we are going to talk about a whole lot of things:  re-purposing,  kindness, boobs, food, how we are going to fix the world, thankfulness, superhero powers, random acts, tribes, questions, crafts and noticing the things that I tend to walk by....cause I think I am missing a whole lot.  When it is all said and done, I hope to be back in the habit of blogging.

Any questions??  Leave them in comments because I would love to answer them!  I am probably going to need them around day 21!!!

Day 1:      Introduction
Day 2:      Clown Allergies
Day 3:      Let's Talk About My Boobs

I can hear your voice when I read this. You are an original work of art. I only leave the buggie in the lot when the cart holder is a mile away (California is odd). So maybe that means I only go to hell on alternate Tuesdays? '
