I PROMISE YOU IT IS WORTH IT!!

One thing that I know is food. Good food. I tried a new recipe this week. I was not expecting too much out of it because it was so simple. Lawsy was I ever wrong! This will go in the *keeper* recipe file!! Below is the recipe with the changes that I made.
Lemon Pull-Aparts
12 Rhodes Dinner rolls, thawed but still cold
Zest from 2 lemons
1/2 Cup sugar
1/4 Cup butter
Mix the lemon zest with the sugar. Cut rolls in half and place in a 9 x 13 pan that you have greased. I placed my cut sides down. Drizzle the 1/4 cup of butter over the rolls. Sprinkle the lemon zest/sugar mixture on top, reserving 1/2 of the mixture to sprinkle on right before baking. Let the rolls rise until double in size. Sprinkle on remaining zest sugar. Bake ate 350 for 20-25 minutes. Remove pan from oven and let cool.
CITRUS GLAZE
2 Cups powdered sugar
2 TBL butter, melted
Juice from your 2 lemons
Combine glaze ingredients and mix well. Drizzle over the pull aparts.
Get 2 forks and split the entire pan with someone while watching Dexter DVD's from Netflix.
Next time I am going to try it with oranges or limes.
Trust me....no one will ever even suspect that this is not totally home made.

...licks the bowl clean....

  1. I've made something similar but completely different (is that possible?) with Rhodes rolls and garlic and butter and other spices...and this has my mouth watering. I'm trying it asap!

  2. What? When? When did you make this stuff that you did NOT share???

    Mannnn, that looks good.

Got my swap stuff! Sent my package last week.

WV is diatepti, which is a blood sugar disease caused by not sharing the goodies with yer buddies.

It's Fate. Fate, I tell you. I have a bag of those frozen do-jobbers in my freezer and I suspect that they now have a new purpose in life. :)
