Tomorrow Being A Voting Day Here In Texas and All.....
Everyone except for St. Cass has received their books...FINALLY! I was getting worried for a bit. I had Baby Gator hold off on Cass's until everything calmed down over there. I have it here and it will go into the mail no later than tomorrow.
The call has gone out through the land...and echos from foreign lands for a new swap. There have been alot of different ideas floating around so I am putting it to a vote.
Shall it be a magnet or a recipe?

I can't cook.
ReplyDeleteYou can't make me.
I'm votin' fer magnets.
eeerrrmmmm....Rachel you will participate. If we do recipes you can send a coupon or McDonald's dollars or something dammit.
ReplyDeleteIf I say recipe, will Rach be mad at me?
ReplyDeleteI'm really up for either.
You can say what ever you want Songbird. Rach will not get mad at you. Occasionally when angry, she flings things. I do not think that she can fling anything that far away. She actually sent me a recipe once. I have used it a million times and actually named it after her....even though she has never cooked it. She makes a mean Oreo or Fiddle Faddle ~snickering~
ReplyDeleteWaaaa! Wish I could, Princess, but I'm up to here in things a-happenin' and couldn't do a worth job on anything. Please keep me in mind for after-the-new-year future swaps, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm in. Either or. You decide. Flip one of them fancy armadillo pennies if you have to.
ReplyDeleteI just figured this out. (PaDUR as my lovely WG would say.) You're doingt his be cause I'm a big Hinty McHinterton aren't you?
ReplyDelete(grinning with satisfaction)
~LMAO~ Yes Ma'am I am. Just cause of you Ms. Hinty.
ReplyDeleteSee, I typed that last one so fast I totally messed up the spelling.
ReplyDeleteDagnabbitt!
To review:
"doint his be cause"
is really
"doing this because"
eerrrmmm....even odder is...I totally understood it!
ReplyDeletedear Mindy
ReplyDeleteI leave the responsibility of choosig to you.
yeah Im a coward.
and yeah I have a fancy armadillo penny courtesty of the princess!Want to flip that?
oops it landed on its side. ROFL
er what you voting for in Texas anyway???
ReplyDeleteOne of each! :-) I'm leaning toward magnets, but I could do either. Thanks for including me!
ReplyDeleteMAGNETS! Can I be part of the cool kids' swap? Can I? Can I? Can I? Please?
ReplyDeleteOf course you can play with us Patti! We play well with others! But we do tend to run with scissors so just be careful!
ReplyDeleteJust bear in mind that any magnets I send anywhere will likely be Bernese Mountain Dog shaped.
ReplyDeleteAt least they don't shed like the real thing!
Oh, goodness! I would love to do either! Or both! Put me down as a "yes" in either column.
ReplyDeleteI am cool with anything, I just want to get to participate. And St. Cass, I promise I have had your book ready since we did the last swap, did you ever get my e-mail?
ReplyDeleteHow about a recipe on a magnet?
ReplyDeleteI did happen to notice that the hat on the right resembled a crown, while the one in the middle looked like one of those crocheted dolls they used to make to cover a roll of toilet paper. The one on the left is just plain indescribable.
ReplyDeleteLook at goofy me, I put my comment on the wrong post!
ReplyDeleteAs for the vote, why not a magnet and a recipe? How hard could that be?
Well (sheepish and ashamed) you may not want me to play because my book swap person is still waiting for a book from me--the book I want to send her is taking its sweet molasses time getting to me. Soooooooooo sorry PCIT! I am trusting the fullness of God's time with this, but I feel bad.
ReplyDeleteI think I can actually get either of those sent in a timely manner, i.e. before Gertie comes. Anything that fits in an envelope and doesn't require a trip to the Mailboxes Etc. will work.
I vote for either a magnet or a recipe. That's my vote and I'm sticking with it and I am non-partisan about magnets and recipes.
ReplyDeleteYippee! Friday Mom! Now we have ourselves a par-tay.
ReplyDeleteIs it too late to get into this swappin' thing? And do you let guys play? I have some dandy recipes. And a few good magnets, too. There's one from Hong Kong and a couple from Hawai'i. Please, please, ljzeztqa. (That's my WV word.)
ReplyDeleteOh course you can play Hibou! I want that recipe of yours that you are always teasing us with. We are just voting right now....signs up in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteEither, or even better both, do a two way swap, make a circle of names and then you send a magnet to the person on your right and a recipe to the person on your left. So each person to whom you send something also gets something from you, but if you send them a recipe, they get a magnet from you, and vice versa. Does that make any sense at all?
ReplyDeleteHi Judy! That sounds fun! Thanks for joining us. I wonder if we would be smart enough to do that. ~laffin~
ReplyDeleteso a recipe AND a magnet
ReplyDeletespeaking slowly and thoughtfully
we send the recipe to the one on our left
and the magnet to the one on the right
or if it's a linear list instead of a loving circle - we send the recipe to the name above us
and the magnet to the one below
well I think I know the recipe I'm sending and this weekend a trip to town to check out fridge magnets ... thinks - they DO exist in Finland I think :)
With the recipe it would be lovely to hear why you chose it - or where you got it from originally.
one day a Rev Gals and friends cookbook me thinks :)
Mindy you are the BEST :)
oh and Rach as a special bonus
ReplyDeletewhoever Mindy pairs you up with
I will send you a never fail fun to make recipe
so get your address to me ok :)
hugs
Hey you,
ReplyDeleteI think it should be a recipe, then you can send some (telepathically) here.
nush x
Hey you back! ~pokes nush~ You can play too sweetie! We have people from other countries that are going to be in this too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lorna. (Although, it sort of goes against my reasoning for not learning to cook. Once you do it, then people expect you to do it again.)
ReplyDeleteHey nush! You have a cool site!
ok rach
ReplyDeletethen I have THE recipe for you
how not to make shortbread - I also have a never works recipe - honestly I've tried it at least three times, and it's hopeless!!!
lol
Shoot, I'm late to this party, but I do have a fabulous NO-COOK recipe for SIN COOKIES to share.
ReplyDelete~hint,hint~
